Smooth Jazz Saxophonist
Dave Koz’s long and varied career began in the 1980s as a mere session musician. After more than a decade of performing with musicians including Bobby Caldwell and Richard Marx, and in addition to sitting in for talk shows like The Arsenio Hall Show, Dave made the decision to pursue a solo career in the 1990s. He achieved minor success with his first three albums, until his forth, Saxophonic, received Grammy and NAACP Image award nominations. The attention jump-started his career, giving him the opportunity to host his own radio show and cruise getaways, culminating in a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, awarded to him in 2009.
